Le jene acteur est devenu une star depuis High School Musical 1 et 2, et ne compte pas s'arrêter en si bon chemin.

Vous êtes la nouvelle idle des jeunes, un sex-symbol même...

Un sex-symbol ? Ouah ! Merci, c'est flatteur, mais non. Je signe juste quelques autographes, et les photographes me poursuivent dans la rue [rire]. Sérieusement, j'ails mêmes occupations que les jeunes de mon âge [19ans ndlr]. Quand je ne tourne pas, je joue aux jeux vidéo, je regarde des DVD avec des copains, je traîne avec des filles et fais du sport. J'ai quitté la maison de mes parents pour emménager dans un deux pièces à Los Angeles et me rapprocher des studio.
Mais je leur apporte toujours mon linge sale ! Ce n'est pas une vie de star.

Comment expliquer le succés d'High School Musical ?

C'était inattendu. On a jus fait deux téléfilms qui abordent les problèmes des ados :
L'innocence, ls premier amours, l'inquiétude pour l'avenir...Il est facile de s'identifier aux personnages. Tout cela es présenter sous la forme d'un commédie musicale drôle et énergique, pour dédramatiser et inciter les jeunes à tenter des choses à s'exprimer.
Les ados avaient sensdoute besoin d'un tel film pour s'y retrouver.

Lété dernier, vous avez débuté au cinéma dans Hairspray. Bilan ?

J'ai adoré ! J'étais intimidé de me retrouver avec des stars, notamment John Travolta, mais toutes m'ont entouré et conseillé. J'ai hâte de poursuivre.

Avez-vous d'autre projet au cinéma ?

Oui. Nous préparons pour Octaobre 2008 une version grand écran de High School Musical.

Vous auriez refusé d'y participer...

C'est faux ! Les scénaristes nous concoctent une histoire forte et l'équipe est génial.
Bien sûr, il va falloir un jour en sortir mais ce troisème opus devarit être le dernier.
Ensuite, j'espère avoir des rôles différents.
